We never had slumber parties.
The clutter took over and nowhere could you lie down.
Dance.
Play.
Watch TV.
Eat.
A place just didn’t exist to have a slumber party.
On Thursday, my flight landed in New Orleans. I was scared. I was going to stay in a house with other men and women I’d never met or talked to.
As the days drew on, we talked; we unloaded our emotional diarrhea all over each other.
We cried. Laughed. Ate. Drank. Went out and had a blast.
By the last night, we knew each other’s names and faces. We had gotten to know each other and it was as if it had been that way all our lives.
I’ve never experienced a time like that before.
Someone mentioned that this time was like the slumber party we had never gotten to have as a child. I agree 100%.
I owe a huge thank you to Dr. C. You’re wonderful.
Thank you for the slumber party.
